Suits

Salons and brands that already know the curl and diameter their artists work with, and need a tray that repeats exactly from order to order.

Skip it if

Buyers still testing the market. Order a mixed tray first: a full case of one length tells you nothing about which lengths your clients actually use.

Check before ordering

Compare the curl against a tray you already trust, not against a photo. Curl codes are conventions, and two factories can label the same CC differently.

Field notes

Colour lines: seasonal demand, careful stock

Coloured lashes sell as accents rather than as full sets: a few fans at the outer corner, a coloured spike in a hybrid set, or a themed look for a shoot. Demand is real but uneven, and it moves with social media rather than with season.

The buying mistake is depth. A salon needs one or two colours at a time; a distributor needs a palette but should not hold it deeply. Start with the shades that photograph well against skin, then add the editorial colours only when an account asks twice.

Colour also changes the spec conversation. A coloured fibre can be slightly stiffer than black PBT, and the curl can read tighter because the eye picks up the edge differently. Ask for a sample in the shade, not in black, before approving a production run.

Which colours sell first?

Brown, then the warm tones. Fashion colours move in small quantities around events and shoots.

Can coloured lashes be used in volume?

Yes, usually as accent fans at 0.05 to 0.07 rather than across the whole set.

Is the curl the same as black?

Usually, but the colour changes how it reads. Check a sample in the actual shade before ordering.
