Boxes for clusters: shelf first, tray second

A cluster box is judged on the shelf before it is judged on the eye. The window, the tray card and the box size all say something about the price point; a small box with a clear window sells at a higher price than the same clusters loose in a bag.

Inside the box, the tray card does the practical work. Clusters need to stay in place when the lid closes and release cleanly when the customer lifts one. If adhesive transfers to the lid in warm storage, the product arrives looking used.

For buyers, order the box and the clusters on the same schedule. Boxes have their own minimum and lead time, and a cluster run that finishes before the packaging arrives sits in the warehouse aging. We hold finished clusters until the packaging is approved.
