Suits

Brands that already have a product and need the box, card and label to match. Packaging is the difference between a tray and a shelf product.

Skip it if

First orders under a thousand units. Tooling and print setup dominate the cost at low volume, and a sticker on a standard box is the cheaper test.

Check before ordering

Ask for a proof on the actual stock, not a screen file. Pantone on coated board does not match the same code on uncoated, and foil shifts again.

Sticker labels: the fastest private label

A sticker label turns a stock tray into a private label product at the lowest possible minimum. It is how most brands start, and it stays useful for samples, test SKUs and short runs.

Adhesion is the whole product. A label that lifts at the corner in a cold warehouse makes the brand look careless. Ask for the adhesive type and test on the actual tray material, because foil and clear plastic need different stocks.

Design for the size you can afford. Small labels carry a logo and a length range; larger ones fit a barcode and a batch code. Print the batch separately so a reprint does not invalidate the label run.
