Works for artists between beginner and competition speed.
More forgiving than fast glues.
The most common glue on a salon menu.

Artists who work at a steady pace and control humidity in the room. Best for salons running six or more sets a day, where the glue has to keep up with the hands.
Beginners still learning isolation, and studios without a hygrometer. A fast glue in a dry room cures before the fan is placed, and the set looks uneven by day three.
Ask for the batch and the production date before ordering a case. Adhesive loses a third of its rated speed after six months in a warm warehouse.
A one second adhesive is the compromise most salons settle on: long enough to position a fan and correct it, short enough that a full set does not turn into a three-hour appointment. It suits classic and hybrid work, and it forgives a small mistake in isolation without the fan sliding down the lash.
The failure mode is over-application. Because the glue gives the artist time, it is easy to use more of it, and a heavy dot cures from the outside in. The bond looks set and then releases in week two. If retention is inconsistent, reduce the dot before changing the product.
One second glues are the easiest to match across seasons. In summer they behave closer to a fast glue; in winter they feel closer to a two second. That makes them a reasonable single product for a studio that does not want to stock two speeds, as long as the room stays between 45 and 60 percent humidity.
Yes. Most training courses start artists on one to two seconds, because placement can be corrected after contact.
Slightly, compared with 0.3 seconds. Most artists recover the time by making fewer corrections.
Below 40 percent humidity it can feel slow and tacky. Ask for the fast formula for winter, or add a humidifier and monitor it.
