Our factory · Pingdu, Shandong

Inside our trusted lash factory where every tray is hand-made

We have been making lashes in Pingdu since 2016, in the county that supplies a large share of the world’s hand-fanned lash trays. Extensions, clusters, strips and adhesive are made in the same building, inspected tray by tray, and packed under the buyer’s label. This page is what happens between your spec sheet and your carton.

Location

Why our building sits in Pingdu

Pingdu, in Shandong, is where a lot of the world’s hand-fanned lash trays come from. That matters for reasons a buyer rarely sees. Fiber supply is local and short-cycle, so a batch of 0.07 mm D-curl does not sit in a container for three weeks before it reaches the bench. Fanning is a hand skill, and the labor pool here has spent years doing it, which is why a factory in this county can hold a curl profile across a large run and a factory outside it often cannot.

We run as two entities: the registered factory that makes the product — Pingdu Leehong Beauty Lashes Factory — and the trading arm that handles export paperwork, freight and English-language communication. Buyers deal with one contact, but the product comes from the factory floor and the invoices come from the entity that can legally export it. When you ask for a document, that is why you may see two company names on the file.

The floor

Stations every tray has to pass

A tray does not move down a conveyor. It moves between hands: fiber is sorted and cut, fans are built, the tray is assembled row by row, the finished tray is inspected, and only then does it reach packing. Each station has one job, which is what makes a defect traceable — if a row is off, we know whether it left the fanning bench or the assembly bench.

The work happens in a clean room: filtered air, gloves, hair covering, no food or drink at the bench. Lash fiber picks up everything — dust, lint, skin oil — and a tray that looks clean in a photo can still be a tray a client reacts to. That is the reason for the room, not the poster on the wall.

  • Station 1 Fiber sorting, cutting and length grouping
  • Station 2 Fan building: handmade 3D–10D, or premade heat-set fans
  • Station 3 Tray assembly to the row ratio on the spec
  • Station 4 Inspection against the master tray
  • Station 5 Packing with batch code and inspection record

Material

Fiber decides whether curl survives shipment

We use Korean PBT and heat-set the curl. That combination is why we can state curl retention of 12 months or more in storage rather than “long lasting”. PBT holds a memory better than the cheaper alternatives, and heat setting fixes the profile instead of relying on the mechanical shape of the fiber alone.

The matte black matters more than buyers expect. A black with a blue or green cast looks fine on a bench and wrong under daylight, on camera, or on a client with warm-toned skin. We check it under daylight, not under the workshop lamp, because the workshop lamp flatters everything.

For adhesive, the raw materials come from the US and Japan, and the filling is sealed against oxygen. Glue that has been exposed to air before it reaches your shelf cures inconsistently, and a technician blames the product, not the pouch.

Flow

How orders move through our building

A confirmed order is scheduled as a batch, not squeezed between stock jobs. That is the difference between a 10–15 working day lead time you can plan around and a date that slides every time someone else’s order arrives.

01

Spec locked

Curl, diameter, length ratio, fan count and tray layout confirmed in writing before anything is cut.

02

Batch scheduled

The run is booked against the floor plan; deposit starts the clock and the fiber is drawn for that spec.

03

Built and checked

Fans, assembly and inspection happen in sequence, with the tray checked against the master, not against memory.

04

Packed and traced

Batch code goes on the carton with the inspection record, so a complaint can be traced to a day and a station.

Quality

What inspection actually looks at

Every tray is checked by hand before packing. “100% inspection” is easy to print on a website and hard to run, so here is exactly what the inspector is looking for, and what gets a tray pulled.

Curl and rows

Each row is compared with the master tray for that style. Drift mid-batch means the batch is re-set, not shipped as “close enough”.

Band width

Measured, not eyeballed. A band that is too wide will not sit cleanly on a natural lash and becomes a return.

Clean strip

No loose fiber, no adhesive smear, no residue on the strip. Any of the three and the tray is reworked or discarded.

Tray integrity

Lash count per cell, label placement, and a tray that closes and protects the curl in transit.

The inspection record travels with the shipment. If a buyer disputes a tray, the batch code lets us find the run, the day and the station instead of arguing about a photograph. That is also what makes a repeated complaint fixable: we change the step that caused it, not the promise on the website.

Planning

What our floor can take, by order type

We would rather describe scheduling honestly than publish a monthly capacity figure that means nothing without a mix. What follows is how different order types behave on this floor.

Order typeScheduling realityLead time
Stock styles, small orderPulled from existing production, packed to your label3–7 working days
Custom tray, standard packagingScheduled as its own batch after deposit10–15 working days
Premade fans, high countFan building is the bottleneck; book it early10–15 working days, longer at peak
Private label with printed packagingProduct run parallel to print, packaging sets the finish dateProduct plus 1–3 weeks
Repeat order, same specNo setup, scheduled into the next open slot10–15 working days

If a date is fixed — a launch, a trade show, a container booking — tell us at the quote stage. Moving a batch is possible before it enters the queue and close to impossible once it is on the floor.

Watch

What finished trays do in your hand

A factory video shows a room. This one shows the part that matters to an artist: how the tray behaves when it is opened and used.

Compliance

Documents buyers ask for

Marketplace reviews, customs brokers and salon insurers ask for the same four things. We hold all of them and send them with the order rather than making you chase a PDF after the carton lands.

FDA registration

Facility registration. It is a registration, not a product approval — the distinction matters on your packaging copy.

SGS report

Third-party testing on the materials, used by buyers for platform and customs review.

ROHS

Restricted substance compliance for the relevant components in the range.

MSDS

Safety data sheet per adhesive lot, with the batch number tied to what shipped.

Honesty

What we will not tell you about our factory

Factory pages are usually a list of superlatives. Here are the four claims we leave out, and why.

  • “Biggest” We are not the largest plant in Pingdu, and we do not know who is. Size is not why a buyer stays.
  • “Zero defects” Nothing hand-made is zero-defect. 100% inspection means defects are caught here, not that they do not happen.
  • “Fully automated” Fanning and tray assembly are hand work. Automation is in sorting, filling and packing, not in the part you care about.
  • “FDA approved” Registration is not approval, and we will correct that line in your packaging copy if it appears.

Visit

Come watch trays being made

Buyers visit for three reasons: to confirm the building is real, to see a tray being built by the people who will build theirs, and to meet the QC lead whose name is on the inspection record. All three are reasonable.

Tell us the dates and the order you are considering, and we will plan the visit around production rather than around a meeting room. If you cannot travel, ask for a video call from the floor — we would rather show you a live bench than send a stock photo of one.

Factory pages

Every line, as its own factory page

Each page covers one product as it is made here: what the floor runs, what we inspect and what the minimum is. Useful when you are sourcing a specific item rather than browsing the catalog.

Questions

Factory questions, answered straight

Where exactly is the factory?

Pingdu, in Shandong province, China. It is the county behind a large share of the world’s hand-fanned lash trays, which is why fiber supply and skilled fanning labor are both local.

How long have you been running?

Since 2016. The registered factory is Pingdu Leehong Beauty Lashes Factory; export paperwork runs through our trading arm.

Do you own the factory or broker the work?

We run our own production. Extensions, clusters, strips and adhesive are made in-house, which is why a spec change does not turn into a three-way conversation.

What does “100% inspection” mean here?

Every tray is checked by hand against the master for curl, rows, band width, residue and count before packing. It means defects are caught before shipping, not that defects never occur.

Can I see the inspection record?

Yes. The record goes with the shipment and carries the batch code that ties the carton to the run.

What fiber do you use?

Korean PBT, matte black, heat-set for curl. We check the black under daylight because workshop lighting hides a blue or green cast.

How long does the curl hold?

We test retention to 12 months or more in storage. In application, retention depends on aftercare, humidity and the adhesive, not only on the tray.

Is the production area a clean room?

Yes: filtered air, gloves, hair covering, and no food or drink at the bench. Lash fiber collects lint and oil, and a clean-looking tray can still cause a reaction.

Who makes the fans?

Trained staff at a dedicated station. Fan building is hand work — that is the part of the process automation cannot do without changing the product.

Do you make your own adhesive?

We formulate and fill adhesive using raw materials from the US and Japan, sealed against oxygen. The MSDS follows each lot.

What is the bulk lead time?

10–15 working days after deposit and spec confirmation. Stock styles can move in 3–7 working days. Printed packaging adds 1–3 weeks.

Can you take a rush order?

Sometimes, if the line is stock and the queue has room. Tell us the date before you commit to it, and we will give you a straight answer.

What is your capacity?

We do not publish a monthly figure, because it depends entirely on the mix — a tray of premade fans takes far more bench time than a classic tray. We quote dates per order instead.

Which documents can you provide?

FDA facility registration, SGS report, ROHS and an MSDS per adhesive lot. They ship with the order so your broker or marketplace review is not waiting on us.

Is the facility FDA approved?

No, and no lash factory is. We are FDA registered, which is a facility status. Packaging that says “FDA approved” is a claim the documents do not support.

Can I audit the factory?

Yes. Tell us the standard you audit against and the dates, and we will arrange the floor access and the people who can answer for each station.

Can I visit without placing an order?

Yes, if the visit is planned around production. We would rather show you a working bench before you order than host you in an empty room after.

Do you work with small brands?

Yes. MOQ is 100 pieces per style, and a first order that small is how most of our long-term buyers started.

What happens if a tray fails in production?

It is reworked or discarded before packing. The inspection record shows what was pulled, and the batch code tells us which station to correct.

How do I get samples?

Ask through the sample page. Four to five pieces are free, you cover freight, and DHL takes 5–7 working days.

Can you show the factory on a video call?

Yes. Ask for a floor call and we will walk a bench with the camera rather than send a rendered tour.

Ask us what you would ask trusted supplier

Send the spec, the quantity or the date you need it. You will get an answer from the team that schedules the floor, not from a sales script.
