Skip it if

Buyers still testing the market. Order a mixed tray first: a full case of one length tells you nothing about which lengths your clients actually use.

Check before ordering

Compare the curl against a tray you already trust, not against a photo. Curl codes are conventions, and two factories can label the same CC differently.

What a flat cross-section changes

Flat lashes have an oval cross-section rather than round, so the same diameter covers more of the natural lash with less vertical height. The result is a darker line at the same weight, which is why flat trays are popular with clients who want definition without a heavy set.

The wider contact also means more surface for the adhesive, and a bond that holds slightly better on clients whose lashes are straight or downward-pointing. The trade is flexibility: a flat lash bends in one plane, and on a very curved natural lash it can look rigid at the base.

Diameter runs 0.15 à 0.20, and buyers should not treat it as interchangeable with a round lash of the same number. UN 0.15 flat reads closer to a 0.18 round in the mirror. Ask for a sample at both before committing a tray.

Are flat lashes heavier?

At the same diameter they weigh about the same, but they look denser. That is the point of the format.

Do they suit volume work?

They can be used in volume, though most artists keep flat for classic and hybrid sets.
