Artists who work at a steady pace and control humidity in the room. Best for salons running six or more sets a day, where the glue has to keep up with the hands.
Beginners still learning isolation, and studios without a hygrometer. A fast glue in a dry room cures before the fan is placed, and the set looks uneven by day three.
Ask for the batch and the production date before ordering a case. Adhesive loses a third of its rated speed after six months in a warm warehouse.
Bonder is a thin liquid applied at the base of the fan after placement. It is not adhesive: it does not hold the extension to the natural lash. What it does is accelerate the final cure and remove the tacky surface that collects dust and pulls neighbouring lashes together. Used correctly, a set feels cleaner on day three.
The common mistake is volume. A soaked micro-brush floods the bond, the liquid wicks into the lash line, and the client feels a sting. Two light passes along the base are enough. If the bottle has been open for months, the solvent has evaporated and the remaining liquid is thicker than it should be, which is one reason a bonder seems to stop working.
Bonder will not fix a retention problem that starts at isolation. If lashes are stuck together or the base is lifted, no aftercare product recovers the set. We ask buyers to test bonder against their own retention baseline: place ten fans with it and ten without, then count at day seven. The difference is the only honest measure.
No. Glue creates the bond; bonder finishes the cure at the base and removes surface tack.
No. Strip products are not bonded lash by lash, and the liquid is not formulated for a band.
Six to eight weeks once opened, depending on how often the cap is left off.
No. It supports the base; adhesive does the bonding.
Faster cure and less dust pickup during the set.
