Fit and limits

Who this line suits, and who should skip it

Suits

Studios and distributors supplying working artists, where a pair is used thousands of times a month and tip alignment decides whether a fan holds.

Skip it if

Starter retail packs unless the price point matters more than longevity. A tested 410 steel pair beats an untested 420 pair every time.

Check before ordering

Hold the tool closed against a light and open it twenty times. Any wedge between the tips, or a spring that stays open, fails before it reaches an artist.

On the floor

Mould and print job in one part

The mould sets the slot depth and the lash sits in that slot for months, so a shallow slot lets the curl flatten and a deep one makes the lash hard to pick. We cut the slot to the lash type rather than using one mould across a range.

Printing is the second half. Tray print runs at a lower tolerance than a carton, and fine text under two millimetres fills in. We proof the artwork on the actual material, because a screen proof hides exactly the problem that shows up on a shelf.

Stock versus custom

When a stock tray is the right answer

A stock tray is cheaper and faster, and for a first order it is usually the correct choice. A custom mould only pays when the pack shape is part of the brand, or when the lash does not fit a standard slot. We quote both and let the buyer see the difference in tooling cost.
